US President Donald Trump criticized a journalist from The New York Times over a publication suggesting that Ukraine should reclaim its territories, including Crimea.

The American leader launched a wave of criticism at Peter Baker from The New York Times. According to Trump, the journalist fulfilled an editor’s demand by writing an article that included calls for Ukraine to regain its territories and made other demands as well.

"Peter Baker, the very biased and untalented writer for The Times, followed his Editor’s demands and wrote that Ukraine should get back territory, including, I suppose, Crimea, and other ridiculous requests, in order to stop the killing that is worse than anything since World War II," Trump wrote.

He also accused the journalist, asking why he did not write about that "it was (former US President Barack -ed.) Obama, who made it possible for Russia to steal Crimea from Ukraine without even a shot being fired."

"Did Baker ever criticize the Obama Crimea Giveaway? NO, not once, only TRUMP, and I’ve had nothing to do with this stupid war, other than early on, when I gave Ukraine Javelins, and Obama gave them sheets. This is Sleepy Joe Biden’s War, not mine," the post says.

The US President also stated that the war in Ukraine was allegedly "lost from day one." Trump again claimed that the war would not have happened if he had been president.

"I’m just trying to clean up the mess that was left to me by Obama and Biden, and what a mess it is," the American leader wrote.

According to Trump, even if he were to secure "the greatest deal ever made" regarding Ukraine and Russia, The New York Times would still speak negatively about him.

Peace plan for Ukraine

As a reminder, yesterday, Reuters published a detailed report about Donald Trump's plan to resolve the war in Ukraine.

Later, Reuters also published the peace plans proposed by Ukraine and Europe.
