All possibilities exist for the prompt organization of a conversation between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, there are no clear agreements yet, according to a statement by Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov in Russian media.

According to the Kremlin spokesman, a phone conversation between Putin and Trump will take place as soon as agreements on it are reached. So far, there are no clear agreements on such a conversation.

"Trump mentioned such a possibility, but there are no clear arrangements for a phone conversation yet. As soon as they appear, the conversation will take place. I repeat once again, all possibilities exist for a fairly prompt organization of such a phone call," Peskov said.

What came before

Over the weekend, US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke by phone.

Among the main topics of discussion were the possibility of supplying long-range Tomahawk missiles and Patriot systems.

After that, Trump stated that he was ready to send Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine. But first, he would likely discuss it with Kremlin head Vladimir Putin.

In response to Trump's statement about the possible supply of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, Deputy Chairman of Russia's Security Council Dmitry Medvedev threatened the US president with a bad end.
