Trump promises voters that US will travel to Mars
Yesterday, US presidential candidate Donald Trump held a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he was attacked in the summer. Speaking on stage, he promised that the United States would go to Mars, reports Sky News.
Trump's promise came after the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, as well as the owner of the social network X, Elon Musk, took the stage. In particular, the former US president promised that the United States would “reach Mars” by the end of his second term if he is re-elected as head of state.
“We will land on Mars by the end of my presidential term. We will have a world championship in space exploration. Thank you, Elon,” Trump was quoted as saying by a number of other media outlets.
Trump held a rally in the city of Butler, where he was attacked in July this year. The former president's right ear was shot as a result of the shooting.
What Musk said at the rally
During his speech with Trump, billionaire Elon Musk, obviously alluding to Joe Biden, said that earlier in the US there was one presidential candidate who could not climb one flight of stairs, and another (alluding to Trump) was waving his fists after being shot.
In addition to asking Americans who they wanted to see as president, Musk spoke directly about the need for a Republican victory. According to him, Trump “must win to preserve the Constitution” and “democracy in America.”
