Trump presents Gaza peace plan, outlines main proposals

The United States has pledged to prevent Israel from annexing the West Bank and to monitor the implementation of agreements, Al Hadath TV reports.
According to the document, US President Donald Trump’s plan also includes:
-
Ceasefire and hostage release: Immediate cessation of hostilities and the release of hostages within 48 hours.
-
Hamas disarmament: Destruction of offensive weapons; amnesty for militants who renounce violence; safe passage abroad for others.
-
Humanitarian aid and reconstruction: US-led efforts to rebuild infrastructure, hospitals, and housing; distribution of aid under the supervision of the UN and other neutral bodies.
-
Temporary administration: Gaza would be governed by "qualified Palestinians" under international supervision until Palestinian Authority reforms are implemented.
-
International security forces: Arab and international troops would ensure Gaza’s security while Israel gradually withdraws its forces.
-
Prisoner exchange: Israel would release Palestinian prisoners following the release of hostages.
-
Path to Palestinian statehood: Future negotiations may address the establishment of a Palestinian state, but only after reforms and reconstruction.
Earlier, Politico reported that during a meeting with Arab leaders, Trump allegedly promised to prevent Israel from annexing the West Bank.
Recently, Trump announced effective negotiations toward signing a final peace agreement to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
Recall that US Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff announced a breakthrough in negotiations to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
