Trump points to three people as responsible for war in Ukraine

US President Donald Trump believes that three people are to blame for Russia’s war against Ukraine. One of them is Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump stated during a meeting with El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele.
"Biden could have stopped it, and Zelenskyy could have stopped it, and Putin should have never started it. Millions of people dead because of three people. ... Let's say Putin number one. Biden, who had no idea what the hell he was doing, number two, and Zelenskyy. And all I can do is try and stop it," he said.
He again repeated his claim that Russia’s war against Ukraine is "Biden’s war" and that he is trying to end it.
"It's a killing field, it's like the Civil War. I look at the satellite pictures," the President added.
Trump’s statement
Today, April 14, US President Donald Trump wrote on his Truth Social that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and former US President Joe Biden "did an absolutely horrible job in allowing this travesty to begin."
Notably, his post did not contain a single mention of blame directed at Russian President Vladimir Putin, who launched the invasion of Ukraine.
This isn’t the first time Trump has criticized Zelenskyy. Previously, the US President claimed that the Ukrainian leader had done nothing to stop the war with Russia.
