Trump plans summit with world leaders on Gaza, Axios reports

US President Donald Trump has planned to hold a summit on a peaceful resolution in Gaza in the coming days, Axios reports.
Sources told Axios that the summit is expected to take place during Trump’s visit to Egypt.
The summit with Arab leaders and others could attract additional international support for Trump's peace plan, as the most complex agreements on post-conflict governance and reconstruction of the enclave have not yet been finalized.
The summit will be hosted by Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi, who has already sent invitations to several European and Arab leaders.
Expected participants include leaders or foreign ministers from Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Qatar, the UAE, Jordan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Indonesia. Currently, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not expected to attend.
The White House has not yet officially confirmed the summit or Trump's participation.
It is known, however, that on Monday, the US President will meet with el-Sisi in Egypt and take part in a signing ceremony for the Gaza agreement alongside other guarantors — Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye. Sources added that the summit is likely to take place on Tuesday or may be moved to Monday.
What is known about the Gaza agreement
Yesterday, Israel finalized the first stage of the peace agreement, which came into effect on October 10.
According to Washington, the Israel Defense Forces completed their part by withdrawing forces in the Gaza Strip to the agreed distance. This triggered a 72-hour countdown during which Hamas militants are expected to release all hostages.

Previously, it was reported that Donald Trump also plans to visit Israel as part of his peace efforts.
Russian leader Vladimir Putin recently had to cancel the Arab world summit that was scheduled to take place next week in Moscow, as key Arab leaders are currently focused on resolving issues in the Middle East.
