Trump's stance on war in Ukraine

It is still difficult to predict the stance Trump might take on the issue of Russia's war against Ukraine after his inauguration.

In early September, he assured that if he became president, he would call Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin "that very night" and "a deal would be reached within 24 hours."

Also, in September, Trump met with Zelenskyy. During the meeting, the Ukrainian leader presented his plan for victory.

Following the talks, Trump assured that he would negotiate a deal "that's good for both sides."
