The US has reached a ceasefire agreement with the Ukrainian side. Work with Russia is currently underway, according to a statement from US President Donald Trump.

According to Trump, work with the Russian side is currently progressing "well."

"We have a ceasefire agreement with the Ukrainian group and we are trying to get that with Russia, too — and I think thus far, it has gone okay. We'll know a little bit more on Monday," he noted.

Possible ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine

Recently, negotiations took place in Saudi Arabia, during which the Ukrainian and US delegations reached a number of agreements. In particular, Washington proposed a 30-day ceasefire along the front line. Kyiv, in turn, supported this proposal.

Yesterday, on March 13, a US delegation arrived in Russia to discuss a truce with the enemy. However, Russian President Vladimir Putin's foreign policy aide, Yuri Ushakov, stated that Russia is not interested in temporary ceasefires with Ukraine.

The Russian leader himself stated that he fears Ukraine could mobilize new troops and receive new weapons from the West within 30 days.

He also does not want to cease fire, claiming that Ukrainian forces are allegedly surrounded in the Kursk region.
