US President Donald Trump, in an interview with Fox News, stated that no one has been tougher on Russia than he has. He emphasized that he stopped key economic projects for the Kremlin.

A journalist asked Trump if there was anything he wanted to say to those critics who claim he has taken Russia's side in the war between Ukraine and Russia. He also reminded Trump of his past statement, calling Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a dictator and having a conflict with him.

"Nobody has been tougher on Russia than Donald Trump. Nobody. And they know that. Just look at the things I just told you. The pipeline, I stopped it. The biggest job they've ever done was the pipeline, Nord Stream 2. Nobody ever heard of it until I came along," Trump emphasized.

Trump explained that Russia was building the pipeline with the intention of supplying gas to Germany and other European countries. He stressed that it was he who stopped the project. According to him, it was the largest economic venture Russia had ever undertaken, and he was the obstacle preventing its realization.

Trump said that former US President Joe Biden reversed his decision.

"Biden got in on the second day. He approved it. He said: ‘Let it go forward.’ It was totally stopped. Just that one thing alone tells you everything. No, I was tough. At the same time, I got along with Putin," the US President noted.

Trump pointed out that he managed to establish an understanding with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Chinese President Xi Jinping. However, he emphasized that no one has been as tough on China as he has.

Trump halted military aid to Ukraine

On the night of March 4, US President Donald Trump ordered a halt to all military aid to Ukraine after a conflict with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House. This included US weapons that had already been transported by air and sea, as well as those in Europe.

Additionally, the United States reduced the exchange of intelligence data that the Ukrainian armed forces could use for attacks on Russian territory. At the same time, the US continues to share data that can help Ukraine defend itself.

Moreover, NBC News reported today that Trump will not resume aid to Ukraine even after an agreement on mineral resources is signed. In addition to this agreement, he wants to see changes in Zelenskyy's stance on peace talks, particularly his readiness for territorial concessions.
