Trump makes statement on talks with Putin

US President Donald Trump believes that he had a good and productive conversation with Russian president Vladimir Putin. The parties will work toward a full ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia, citing Trump’s post on Truth Social.
"My phone conversation today with President Putin of Russia was a very good and productive one. We agreed to an immediate Ceasefire on all Energy and Infrastructure, with an understanding that we will be working quickly to have a Complete Ceasefire and, ultimately, an END to this very horrible War between Russia and Ukraine," the American leader wrote.
According to Trump, he discussed numerous elements of a potential peace agreement with Putin. They also touched on the topic of soldiers killed on the battlefield.
"Both President Putin and President Zelenskyy would like to see it end. That process is now in full force and effect, and we will, hopefully, for the sake of Humanity, get the job done!" he added.
Trump-Putin negotiations
On March 18, former US President Donald Trump called Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. Their talks lasted about 2.5 hours.
Following the negotiations, it became known that Putin rejected Trump’s proposal for an unconditional full ceasefire. Instead, the Russian leader agreed only to halt strikes on energy infrastructure.
