Trump's 2025 inauguration: Live broadcast

The inauguration ceremony of Donald Trump is expected to gather millions of viewers worldwide. The event will be streamed by American TV channels, news media, and the White House on its official website, and platforms like YouTube and X.

This inauguration marks the 60th in US history and the second for Donald Trump.

The Republican previously served as the 45th President of the United States and, after a break, is returning to the Oval Office as the 47th leader of the nation.

This return is being called historic since only one US president, Grover Cleveland in the late 19th century, has served two non-consecutive terms (as the 22nd and 24th president).

Details of the ceremony

Venue

The presidential inauguration is traditionally held at the west front of the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. However, the ceremony has been moved indoors due to severe cold this year. The President and Vice President will take their oaths in the Capitol Rotunda, and the parade will be held at the Capital One Arena, accommodating thousands of spectators.

The ceremony will also feature performances by country music and opera stars.

Washington, D.C., will have heightened security during Trump's inauguration. The city center is cordoned off, barriers and checkpoints are in place for spectators, and flights over the capital are prohibited.
