Trump: I'd like Zelenskyy to end war

The US president once again called on Ukraine and Russia to end the war, according to The White House on Twitter (X).
Trump pushes for an end to the war
Trump spoke positively about his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday.
"It was good. Look, you know, he's out doing his thing. I'd like him to end the war. So, it's very simple," the president said.
He went on to discuss his relationships with Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"I get along with President Putin. I get along with President Zelenskyy. And like I told him, I wanted to end the war. Get the war ended," Trump noted.
He added that thousands of people are being killed in the conflict, including 25,000 over the past month.
As previously reported, the latest meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump on July 28 marked a sharp shift in the White House leader's stance toward Ukraine.
During the meeting in Washington, Zelenskyy asked US President Donald Trump to provide Kyiv with an emergency winter package of Patriot air defence interceptors.
