Trump grows increasingly impatient with Russians, says Vance

US President Donald Trump is becoming incredibly impatient with the Russians. He is convinced that the war against Ukraine is harming Russia, US Vice President JD Vance said.
"He (Trump - ed.) is responsive to the reality on the ground. And I believe the president is growing incredibly impatient with the Russians," Vance said.
According to him, the US president "sees the economic numbers" and is convinced that the war is harming Russia.
The US vice president noted that Trump has not changed his position on the full-scale war in Ukraine, but has made it clear to the Russians what awaits them if they refuse a peaceful settlement.
"If the Russians refuse to negotiate in good faith, I think it's gonna be very, very bad for the country," Vance emphasized.
US position on Russia
US President Donald Trump has been threatening Russia with sanctions and tariffs for the past several months.
The American leader even set a deadline for the Russian president by which Russia was supposed to reach a truce with Ukraine. However, after the deadline expired, Trump did not impose tough sanctions or tariffs.
Recently, the US president stated that the United States could deliver a strong blow to Russia with sanctions. The targets would be Russian oil and banks.
Earlier, the White House declared its readiness to impose serious sanctions against Moscow if the EU were to fully halt its imports of Russian energy resources in the near future.
And yesterday, September 23, after a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Trump wrote on his social network, Truth Social, that Ukraine can regain all its territories temporarily occupied by the Russians.
According to the American leader, such a scenario is possible with support from European Union countries.
Trump also emphasized that Russia's economy is in poor condition and now is the "time for Ukraine to act."
