Trump 'forgot' about deadline for a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia

US President Donald Trump stated that he did not set any deadline for a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia, according to a statement from the American leader.
"No deadline. I just want to do it (reach a peace agreement in Ukraine, - ed.) as fast as possible," Trump said during a conversation with journalists.
Trump's deadline
Yesterday, April 24, US President Donald Trump made several statements regarding Russia's war against Ukraine.
In particular, he claimed that there is a deadline for a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia. After this deadline, the US "will have a very much different attitude."
He also assured that there are "very good chances" for a peace agreement between the two warring countries.
Earlier, Trump threatened that the US might stop participating in negotiations to end Russia's war against Ukraine. The president noted that this scenario could occur if one of the parties obstructs peace.
At the same time, Trump was displeased with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's opposition to recognizing Crimea as Russian. This idea was proposed by the US to be included in a potential peace agreement.
