US President Donald Trump expressed interest in the achievements of Ukraine's defense industry during his recent meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the NATO summit in The Hague, according to Andriy Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

"During the most recent meeting — which, by the way, was very positive — President Trump spent a great deal of time discussing Ukraine's achievements in weapons production with President Zelenskyy. He asked many questions, and it was clear that he was genuinely interested. This clearly shows that the United States is interested in cooperation with Ukraine," Yermak said.

He added that Ukraine has now become a leader in drone production.

The NATO summit took place in The Hague (Netherlands) on June 24–25. During the summit, member states agreed to increase defense spending to 5% of GDP.

On June 25, Presidents Zelenskyy and Trump held a bilateral meeting.

According to the President of Ukraine, the meeting covered all truly important issues. The two leaders also discussed how to achieve a ceasefire and lasting peace.
