Trump considered canceling Zelenskyy's visit but Macron intervened, media

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to Washington would have been canceled by Donald Trump. But French President Emmanuel Macron convinced him, reports BFMTV.
According to the media, “the meeting was almost canceled.”
“Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to Washington on Friday, February 28, was canceled by the Americans, but was eventually confirmed after a call from Emmanuel Macron,” BFMTV journalists write, citing a diplomatic source.
On Wednesday, February 26, Zelenskyy reportedly received a message from the US administration asking him not to come to the US to meet with Donald Trump.
“Then Volodymyr Zelenskyy called Emmanuel Macron, who, in turn, contacted Donald Trump, asking him to receive his colleague and adding that he would vouch for him,” French journalists report.
Donald Trump agreed, announcing on Wednesday, February 26, that he would receive Zelenskyy at the White House.
