Trump claims Russian losses 14 times higher than Ukraine's

Since the beginning of the year, Russia has lost over 112,000 troops — 14 times more than Ukraine — according to US President Donald Trump.
According to the American leader, he was just informed that 20,000 Russian soldiers were killed this month alone in the "ridiculous war" with Ukraine.
"Russia has lost 112,500 soldiers since the beginning of the year. That is a lot of unnecessary DEATH! Ukraine, however, has also suffered greatly. They have lost approximately 8,000 soldiers since January 1, 2025, and that number does not include their missing," Trump stated.
He added that Ukraine has also lost civilians, but in smaller numbers. They were killed by Russian missile strikes on Kyiv and other cities.
"This is a war that should have never happened — this is Biden's war (the 46th President of the United States — ed.), not 'TRUMP's.' I'm just here to see if I can stop it," the president assured.
Armed Forces of Ukraine data

At the same time, today, on August 1, the general emphasized that in July alone, Ukrainian forces neutralized 33,000 Russian soldiers.
Also, the General Staff reported today that on July 31, losses of the Russian army amounted to 940 soldiers, including both killed and wounded.
