Trump calls Zelenskyy 'stubborn' and blames Putin for attacks on Ukraine

US President Donald Trump believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin is stubborn. He holds the same opinion about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Trump made this statement while speaking with journalists at the US White House.
A journalist noted that the US president’s team "is dealing with a very stubborn Vladimir Putin.” To this, Trump responded: “Very stubborn Zelenskyy too."
However, Trump later said he was surprised by Russia’s actions. He was referring to the Kremlin launching massive strikes on Ukraine over the past weekend while negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv were ongoing.
"I have gotten to see things that I was very surprised at: rockets being shot at cities like Kyiv during a negotiation that I felt was maybe very close to ending. We were going to solve the problem, and then all of a sudden, rockets got shot into a couple of cities… I am very disappointed in that way," Trump said.
Trump was also asked whether Putin is a "good guy or a bad guy," but the US leader avoided answering.
Trump began criticizing Putin
On the nights of May 24, 25, and 15, the Russian army launched massive attacks on Ukrainian territory using various weapons. At first, Trump did not comment on the Russian strikes. Later, however, he said that Putin had gone crazy.
"omething has happened to him. He has gone absolutely CRAZY!" Trump wrote about Putin on Truth Social, referring to Russia’s attack the previous night.
He also stated that the US is definitely considering imposing sanctions on Russia. In response, the Kremlin said that Trump’s statement was caused by the American president’s emotional overload.
Later, Trump again criticized Russian dictator Vladimir Putin for delaying the peace negotiations with Ukraine. The US leader threatened Russia with "very bad things."
