Trump calls for second debate on Fox News channel - AP
US presidential candidate Donald Trump is calling for a second debate to be held on Fox News, a channel perceived as more favorable to him, according to the AP.
This comes after current US President Joe Biden announced he will not seek a second term.
In a post on his social media, Trump stated that any potential Democratic candidate should meet him on Fox News rather than on the very biased ABC.
Previously, Trump and Biden had agreed to hold their second debate on September 10, hosted by ABC.
What happened
On Sunday, July 21, President Joe Biden announced via a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that he would not seek re-election. In a subsequent post, he announced that he was endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor.
Earlier, it was reported that White House spokesperson Andrew Bates stated Biden would not leave the presidency before his term ends, despite calls from some Republicans for him to step down.
