US President Donald Trump will hold a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, May 27, at the Camp David retreat, where the key topic of discussion will be the situation surrounding Iran and negotiations on a possible end to the conflict, according to the New York Post.

Cabinet meeting at Camp David

According to the White House, the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Cabinet members will take place not in Washington, but at the presidential retreat of Camp David.

All key administration officials, including heads of departments, are expected to attend the meeting.

This will be the 12th Cabinet meeting since Trump's election in January 2025.

Main topic: Situation surrounding Iran

The main item on the agenda will be the escalating situation surrounding Iran and the negotiation process, which, according to the US side, may move closer to a potential agreement to end the conflict.

At the same time, reports note that tensions between the countries remain high, while discussions are taking place against the backdrop of recent US strikes on targets in southern Iran.

Participants and agenda of the meeting

All Cabinet members are expected to join the president, including Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who is leaving her post.

A White House representative said that, in addition to the Iranian issue, the meeting is also expected to cover the administration's current performance and other key domestic and foreign policy matters.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivered a message from Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin to President Trump, which he received during talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

US President Donald Trump is preparing to undergo another medical examination. The head of state's regular visits to doctors continue to draw increased attention to his health condition.
