The United States will deliver a very strong strike on Iran next week, US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News, CNN reports.

"We are going to be hitting them (Iran – ed.) very hard over the next week," Trump said.

The US president also said that Iran will take "years to rebuild" after the recent military actions.

According to him, the country will need years to recover, as the United States has already "damaged them so badly."

Trump also noted that if necessary, the United States will provide military escort for oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

At the same time, he expressed hope that such actions would not be necessary.

The US and Israel's war against Iran

On February 28, Israel, together with the United States, launched a military operation against Iran.

As a result of the strikes on the first day of the war, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was eliminated.

In response, Tehran began launching strikes on countries in the Middle East — Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Jordan, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye came under attack.

Iran also blocked the passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the key routes for oil transportation in the world. This caused a sharp increase in global oil prices and higher logistics costs due to rising fuel prices.

In addition, rumors appeared that Iran could have mined the Strait of Hormuz. The Pentagon said that if this information is confirmed, the United States could strike Iranian vessels in the region.

US President Donald Trump said that the United States has effectively won the war against Iran, and the only question is when exactly the fighting will end.

He also said that the rise in global oil prices amid the conflict with Iran means higher profits for the United States.

Trump already announced a serious strike on Iran on March 7.

Also on March 10, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth promised to deliver the most intense strikes on Iran during the entire military operation.

And today, March 13, Trump hinted at further strikes on "deranged scumbags" in Iran.
