Denuclearization could become a crucial initiative for global security. China and Russia could join this process, stated US President Donald Trump.

The American President emphasized the importance of global denuclearization and suggested involving China and Russia in the effort.

"We want to see if we can denuclearize, and I think that’s very possible,” Trump said. He added that China currently has much smaller nuclear strategic forces than the United States. However, in his opinion, they will try to catch up with the US.

The US President stressed that he would like Vladimir Putin to begin reducing his strategic nuclear forces as well.

"And I can tell you that President Putin wanted to do it, he and I wanted to do it. We had a good conversation with China, they would have been involved," Trump added.

According to him, such an initiative would be a significant step toward ensuring the safety of the entire planet.

During his speech, US President Donald Trump also expressed hope for China’s support in ending the war between Ukraine and Russia.

He believes that by combining efforts, the conflict can be resolved.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also stated yesterday that Chinese leader Xi Jinping could push Russian President Vladimir Putin toward peace, noting that Russia’s economy is heavily dependent on China
