Campaign of terror against civilians

Burns emphasized that Russia’s actions are not just a war, but a deliberate campaign of terror. He recalled the systematic bombing of hospitals and schools, the killing of children, and the inability of parents to help their loved ones during attacks.

The pastor stressed that Russia’s cruelty had not only violated borders but also humanity, noting that hospitals had been bombed, schools targeted, and children killed. He emphasized that these actions were not merely acts of war, but constituted war crimes.

Position on the peace talks

The spiritual advisor paid particular attention to the issue of holding the aggressor accountable during diplomatic processes, warning against attempts to overlook atrocities.

Burns stated that justice must catch up with tyranny when it is exposed, stressing that crimes against humanity cannot be ignored or brushed aside in negotiations. He also assured that he would continue supporting Ukraine until the bombings cease.
