'Tired' people can pray for absence of war in their countries, Zelenskyy states
Today it is important to be stronger than in the first year of the war in Ukraine. Those who are very "tired" should pray in the Odesa Cathedral for the absence of war in their countries, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a joint press conference with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
As the president notes, if Ukraine does not defend itself from Russian aggression, it will not survive, and the war will only spread further.
"We are dealing with an inadequate person who will be in the Kremlin until death. Therefore, it seems to me that this is not a question of skepticism, but of a threat. A threat from the Russian Federation to the whole of Europe. We need not get tired, but be stronger than it was in the first year. And those who are very tired, let them come to this cathedral and pray that there is no war in their countries, pray for Ukraine," Zelenskyy says.
Shelling of the Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa
On July 23, 2023, Russian terrorists struck Odesa with five types of missiles. In particular, during the shelling, the Transfiguration Cathedral was partially destroyed.
The Ministry of Defense of Russia then stated that the ports and residential buildings targeted were allegedly "preparing terrorist acts against the Russian Federation." In particular, the terrorist country denied the strike on the cathedral in the city.
As Zelenskyy then explained, Russia struck the cathedral in Odesa with an X-22 missile.
