Three to four times more: Germany vows to increase shells supply to Ukraine
Germany continues to invest in the production of ammunition, so in 2024 Ukraine will be able to receive at least three times more shells, according to German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius.
According to him, the country invested 3.5 billion euros in the production of ammunition.
He also clarified that in 2024, Germany would supply Ukraine with three to four times more artillery shells than in 2023.
The minister noted the growing dynamics in the issue of ammunition, which had a positive effect on both Ukraine and Germany.
Increased ammunition production
Recently, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said that Europe had tripled the production of shells for Ukraine. But it was not possible to reach the goal of one million.
Also, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, stated that Poland was considering the possibility of producing more ammunition to help Ukraine.
Norway announced the allocation of more than 90 million dollars to increase the production of ammunition and develop the potential of the country's defense industry.
