Military forces from Lithuania, Poland, and France will hold joint exercises dubbed Gallant Boar 2026 near the Suwałki Corridor from June 16 to 26, according to LRT.
Troops from the Grand Duke of Lithuania Butigeidis Dragoon Battalion of the Žemaitija infantry brigade will take part in the drills.
They will train together with units from the Polish and French armed forces.
On Saturday, June 13, Lithuania is expected to see intensive movement of military equipment along major roads as units are redeployed.
According to the Lithuanian military, the exercises will include joint operations with allies and will enhance operational interoperability.
A separate part of the drills will focus on practicing skills necessary to ensure the rapid and effective defense of the Suwałki Corridor.
Earlier, Politico has described the Suwałki Corridor as one of Russia's first potential targets in the event of a direct confrontation with NATO, as it is the only land link between the Baltic states and the rest of the Alliance.
In December 2025, Lithuania announced plans to create a new brigade-level training range in the Suwałki Corridor to strengthen border defenses against Belarus. Lithuania is also doubling the size of the Tauragė training area to accommodate heavy equipment and brigade-level exercises.
