On the night of December 26, Russian forces launched 31 drones of various types at Ukraine. Most of them were shot down by air defense, reports the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"On the night of December 26, the enemy attacked with 31 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and other drones from the directions of Oryol and Millerovo," the statement reads.

How the air defense responded

The air attack was countered by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire teams of the Air Force, and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

"As of 8:30 a.m., the destruction of 20 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and other drones in Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions has been confirmed," the Air Force added.

Additionally, due to active resistance by the Defense Forces, 11 enemy decoy drones lost were neutralized.

Drone attack on Ukraine

On the evening of December 25, Russian occupiers launched Shahed kamikaze drones at Ukraine. Air raid alerts were declared in several regions. Additionally, as of the morning of December 26, Russia continues to maintain a Kalibr missile carrier in the Black Sea.

It is worth noting that during the night of December 26, Russia's Belgorod region experienced a drone attack. In some settlements, power outages were reported.
