Drones attack Russia's Belgorod region, leaving areas without power
Russia's Belgorod region came under drone attack overnight on December 26. Power outages were reported in several settlements, according to Russian Telegram channels.
The attack was confirmed by the region’s governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov. He stated that drones targeted the Grayvoronsky district.
According to Gladkov, explosive devices dropped by the drones damaged a power line. As a result, several settlements lost electricity.
“Residents of the villages of Gora-Podol, Glotovo, Kozinka, Novostroyevka-Pervaya, as well as the evacuated settlements of Bezymeno and Novostroyevka-Vtoraya, are temporarily without power,” Gladkov said.
He added that emergency crews would begin restoration work after coordination with Russia’s Ministry of Defense.
Notably, on December 25, drones attacked Russia's Tambov region. A key defense enterprise, the Michurinsky Plant Progress was targeted.
Additionally, a morning drone strike caused a fire at the boiler house of Transnefteprodukt LLC in the village of Novonikilskoye, also in the Tambov region.
