You can get rid of a double chin without expensive procedures. For this, you only need regular exercise.
What exercise will help solve the problem, according to Dr. Michael Rowe on TikTok.
Exercise that strengthens neck and chin muscles
Chiropractor Dr. Michael Rowe, who has been treating back and neck pain for over 15 years, shared a simple method to improve the jawline. You only need a tennis ball for the workout.
The specialist advises placing a tennis ball under the chin, then pressing it as hard as possible while tilting the chin toward the chest. At this moment, the muscles of the back of the neck are activated.
Hold the position for approximately 5 seconds, then relax for another 5 seconds and repeat the exercise. Optimally, perform 10-15 repetitions, gradually increasing the pressing force.
It is recommended to perform this exercise 2-3 times a day; if muscle pain occurs, give your body time to recover.
Experts also note that these movements help strengthen the jaw and neck muscles, which can improve the appearance of the lower face.
What other exercises can help
Specialists recommend combining workouts with an active lifestyle and balanced nutrition. Among popular exercises:
Jaw thrust forward
Tilt your head back and look up, then push your lower jaw forward for 10 seconds. Repeat 10-15 times.
"Kiss the ceiling"
Tilt your head back and stretch your lips as if trying to kiss the ceiling. Hold for 5-10 seconds and repeat.
Tongue stretch
Open your mouth wide and stick your tongue out as far as possible, trying to reach your chin. Hold for 10-15 seconds.
Neck stretch
Tilt your head back, look up and try to cover your upper lip with your lower lip. Hold for a few seconds and repeat.
Lower jaw push
From a position with your head tilted back, push your lower jaw forward, keeping your lips relaxed.
Why regularity is important
Users who have already tried the exercises note their simplicity and accessibility. At the same time, specialists emphasize that you shouldn't expect quick results, as changes typically take time to appear through systematic training.
The appearance of the chin depends not only on muscle tone, but also on weight, genetics, and lifestyle. Therefore, the best effect comes from a comprehensive approach - movement, proper nutrition, and health care.
