Tavria front update: Tanks and hundreds of Russians destroyed

Ukrainian troops eliminated almost 400 Russian occupants in the Tavria direction over the last day. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 43 pieces of enemy military equipment, according to the Joint Press Center of the Tavria Defense Forces.
In total, Russians launched 3 air strikes in the Tavria direction, engaged in 57 combat engagements, and fired 719 artillery rounds.
In the area of responsibility of the Tavria Operational Strategic Group of troops in the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the Russians, who keep trying to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the invaders.
Thus, over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 27 Russian attacks east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, and Avdiivka, and another 13 near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the Russians near Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 6 attacks.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled three attacks by Russian troops near Staromayorske, Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces repelled 7 enemy attacks near Robotyne and west of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Russia's losses
The total enemy losses amounted to 399 Russians.
Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed 43 pieces of military equipment, including:
- 5 tanks;
- 7 armored personnel carriers;
- 3 artillery systems;
- 19 UAVs;
- 6 vehicles;
- 3 units of special equipment.
In addition, 2 ammunition depots and another important enemy facility were destroyed. Another 32 units of enemy equipment were damaged.
The situation at the frontline
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 98 combat engagements were recorded in Ukraine's frontline over the last day. Our defenders covered 4 areas of enemy concentration with fire.
Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine as of Tuesday morning, December 26, amounted to 1,010 occupants. The total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion is approximately 354,960. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 22 tanks, 37 armored personnel carriers, and an enemy ship.
