Tavria front update: 110 equipment units and over 400 Russians destroyed

Ukrainian soldiers continue to inflict significant losses on Russian occupants in the Tavria direction. In particular, over the past day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated more than 400 Russian invaders and destroyed 110 pieces of enemy military equipment, according to the Joint Press Center of the Tavria Defense Forces.
In total, the enemy carried out 11 air strikes in the Tavria direction, engaged in 39 combat engagements, and fired 836 artillery rounds.
The threat of the enemy using missile weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles against military and civilian infrastructure remains high.
In the area of responsibility of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Group of Troops in the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who keeps trying to encircle Avdiivka.
Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the Russian occupiers. Thus, the defense forces repelled 10 enemy attacks in the areas of Stepove and Avdiivka and another 7 attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region over the past day.
In the Maryinka direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Heorhiivka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where they repelled 21 attacks.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the Russians did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.
Enemy losses
The total losses of the Russian army in manpower amounted to 416 occupiers.
Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed 110 pieces of enemy military equipment, including:
- 6 tanks;
- 16 armored personnel carriers;
- 18 artillery systems;
- 3 easel-mounted anti-tank grenade launchers;
- 38 UAVs;
- 27 vehicles;
- 2 units of special equipment.
In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 5 enemy ammunition depots.
Frontline situation
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 68 combat engagements took place in Ukraine's frontline over the last day. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled Russian attacks near the village of Terniv in the Donetsk region, as well as an enemy assault in the Kherson direction.
Russia's losses in the war against Ukraine as of Tuesday morning, January 23, amounted to 960 occupants, bringing the total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the invasion to almost 378,000. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 22 tanks, 51 artillery systems, and 59 armored personnel carriers.
