Taiwan may have rearmed Ukraine's air defense system, with Kyiv potentially receiving a substantial batch of HAWK missile battery systems from Taipei, according to Forbes.

Military analyst David Axe explained that former Pentagon official Tony Hu likely confirmed last year’s reports suggesting a potential air defense deal between Taiwan and Ukraine, facilitated by the United States.

According to this information, the news agency believes that Taiwan's MIM-23 HAWK missiles, along with their launchers and radars, would complement those already provided to Ukraine by the United States and Spain.

Currently, Ukraine may deploy up to 15 Raytheon-made HAWK batteries, each with at least six launchers, three missiles, and associated radars, Forbes notes.

Earlier this fall, Spain also supplied Ukraine with a full HAWK air defense battery, including six launchers.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces revealed details about how Ukraine would use these systems.
