Szijjártó's deputy arrives in Kyiv seeking explanations over 'slanderous campaign' against Hungary

Deputy Foreign Minister of Hungary Levente Magyar has arrived in Kyiv. He plans to demand explanations from the Ukrainian authorities about the "slanderous campaign" against Hungary, according to Hirado.
According to the news agency, Magyar stated that he would seek explanations from the Ukrainian leadership regarding the "slanderous campaign," which, according to Hungarian intelligence services, is allegedly being conducted with Ukraine's support.
"The government will defend the country from any attempts at external influence, as we have no interests that stand above those of Hungary," said Magyar.
Background
Recently, the leader of the parliamentary faction of Hungary’s ruling Fidesz party, Máté Kocsis, claimed that Ukraine is allegedly conducting a campaign aimed at discrediting Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, according to Hungarian intelligence services.
Kocsis believes that the goal of this campaign is to undermine Orbán's international image and weaken Hungary's position in defending its own interests. The politician stated that Ukraine "has spent significant funds on this operation," and that Ukrainian entities have allegedly started gathering information and creating fake news.
"It is obvious that such blatant external interference in Hungary's internal political affairs cannot go unanswered. The purpose of my current trip to Kyiv is to demand explanations from the Ukrainian leadership regarding everything that is happening, and in the absence of such explanations, to outline Hungary's possible response," Magyar stated.
