Su-25 attack aircraft crashes in Russia

A Russian Su-25 attack aircraft crashed in the Primorsky Krai region in Russia. It went down during a training flight, the Russian news agency RIA Novosti reports.
According to the Russian military department, the pilot ejected, and there is allegedly no threat to his life or health.
"The aircraft was unarmed and crashed in an unpopulated area, with no damage on the ground. The preliminary cause of the crash is a technical malfunction," the report states.
Su-25
The Su-25 is an attack aircraft developed in the USSR in the 1970s. It is designed for close air support of ground forces.
The exact number of Su-25s in the Russian military is constantly changing due to combat losses. According to various estimates, as of 2022, Russia had around 200-250 Su-25s of different modifications (including modernized versions like the Su-25SM, Su-25SM3, and Su-25UB).
