Strikes hit oil depot in Engels, Dyagilevo airbase, and Progress plant: Details

Strikes have been carried out in Russia on a number of key military targets - including an oil depot in Engels, the Dyagilevo airbase, and the Progress weapons factory in Michurinsk, Andrii Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, reports.
According to Kovalenko, the targeted Progress factory is one of the cornerstone enterprises in Russia's military-industrial complex.
"This is precisely where Russia gets the components that fuel its missile and artillery systems," Kovalenko emphasized.
The Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation explained that the enterprise specializes in the production of high-precision electronic devices, particularly for guidance, stabilization, and control systems for artillery and MLRS, as well as the development of components for automated troop command systems.
"Special attention should be paid to Progress's cooperation with other defense enterprises in Russia: It is one of the key suppliers to Rostec and Techmash. It's through plants like this that serial production of Hyacinth, Msta, Tornado, and even some components for Iskanders is maintained," Kovalenko stressed.
According to the Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, a strike on this facility could significantly complicate the production of Russian weaponry used to shell Ukrainian cities.
On the evening of June 5, residents of Bryansk reported a series of powerful explosions over the city, as well as a fire in the area of the local airfield.
Drones also attacked strategic facilities in Saratov and Engels, where key aviation assets are based. Local residents reported sounds of explosions, air defense systems in operation, and fires.
At the same time, Russian troops complained of a missile attack in occupied Crimea. An air raid alert was declared on the peninsula. Explosions were reportedly heard in Feodosia, Zaozerne, and several other settlements.
