A fire continues at the Russian arsenal in Tikhoretsk, which was attacked by Ukraine's Armed Forces. This has been confirmed by satellite imagery, according to the Telegram channel of the Schemes project (Radio Liberty).

The satellite images from the Sentinel-2 on September 21 show the aftermath of the nighttime attack on the arsenal near the village of Kamyany, Tikhoretsk district. The images indicate that a fire is ongoing.

The images also show that the fire continues in the area of the Tikhoretsk military airfield, which is close to the warehouses. Notably, these warehouses are marked on open maps as military unit No. 57229-41 and are known to belong to the material and technical support center of the Southern Military District of Russia.

According to research from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, this facility is also referred to as the 719th artillery ammunition base. A report by analysts confirmed that in October 2023, the White House acknowledged this base as a primary storage site for North Korean ammunition.
