Strategic focus for 2024: Zaluzhnyi highlights key areas for Ukraine's efforts
Ukraine needs to focus efforts on three key points in the war with Russia in 2024. They relate to ensuring the well-being of defenders and beyond, according to an article by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, for CNN.
As General Zaluzhnyi emphasizes, Ukraine needs to concentrate efforts this year on:
- Establishing a system to provide the Armed Forces with high-tech means.
- Implementing a new philosophy for the preparation and conduct of military operations, taking into account constraints.
- Consequently, quickly mastering new capabilities for conducting military operations.
He has stressed that in today's conditions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine possess capabilities that not only allow them to defeat the enemy but also ensure the existence of the state itself.
"Our goal must be to seize the moment – to maximize our accumulation of the latest combat capabilities, which will allow us to commit fewer resources to inflicting maximum damage on the enemy, to end the aggression and protect Ukraine from it in the future," adds Zaluzhnyi.
Rumors about Zaluzhnyi's resignation
It should be noted that a few days ago, rumors started circulating on the internet that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy supposedly decided to dismiss Ukraine's army chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi.
Four days have passed since these rumors appeared, but there has been no official decree regarding Zaluzhnyi's resignation.
