A doctor has urged people who spend thousands on certain cosmetics to be careful, as they work only under certain circumstances, so you can waste money, reports SurreyLive.

What cosmetics are not worth spending money on

Expert and dermatologist Ree Adel talks about a cosmetic product that won't solve a specific skin care problem - dark circles under the eyes.

Dark circles under the eyes are a common condition that many people experience and some people have more noticeable dark circles than others. They can be caused by a number of factors, including genetics, stress, lack of sleep, allergies, and more.

While there is absolutely nothing wrong with dark circles, and in some cases, they have even become a kind of beauty trend where people use makeup to mimic the appearance of real under-eye shadows, some people still want to get rid of them.

Those who want to get rid of them often turn to eye creams, but the doctor urges people to be careful.

The dermatologist says that no eye cream can remove dark circles under the eyes.

"I hate to tell you this, but if you have dark circles and think that just an eye cream will fix it, it won't," she said.

According to the doctor, eye creams can help somewhat, especially if they contain retinol, SPF, or vitamin C. However, the only real solution for genetic dark circles would be something like lasers or PRP.
