Stoltenberg explains dangers of China's cooperation with Russia in war against Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has warned that China's cooperation with Russia in the war against Ukraine threatens Beijing's cooperation with Western countries, according to Die Welt.
He reminded of China's support for good relations with the West, but at the same time pointed out that Beijing is fueling the war in Europe.
"You can't have it both ways," said the Alliance's Secretary General.
According to him, support from China is vital for Russia to continue the war against Ukraine.
"There is a clear increase in sales of machine parts, microelectronics, and other technologies that Moscow uses to produce missiles, tanks, and aircraft for use against Ukraine," Stoltenberg said.
NATO's support for Ukraine
Recently, Stoltenberg denied that NATO countries could participate in combat operations against Russia as part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The NATO Secretary General also believes that the US and the Western collective should allow the Defense Forces to strike Russia with Western weapons.
Meanwhile, China has criticized a statement by British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps regarding intelligence on Beijing's readiness to provide military assistance to Russia in the war against Ukraine.
