Ukraine is planning to discuss several issues at the NATO summit in Washington, which will be held on July 9-11, says Olga Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine.

Also, one of the topics is the creation of a new special institution.

The minister emphasized that Ukraine is already preparing for the NATO summit. And there is a practical level of issues that will be discussed.

In particular, Ukraine expects to receive a road map for achieving full interoperability with NATO before joining the Alliance.

"We also have several projects to strengthen air defense and create a special Ukraine-NATO institution that will ensure real-time exchange of information on certain issues that I cannot talk about," Stefanishyna added.

She clarified that the creation of a special institution is an initiative of the Polish side, which Ukraine supports.

NATO summit in Washington

On July 9-11, the jubilee summit of NATO will be held in Washington.

As US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan noted, aid to Ukraine will be one of the key issues during the summit.

In particular, during the event, they want to discuss the further supply of weapons.

As the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak recently stated, Ukraine is waiting for historic decisions at the NATO summit.
