Statue of Trump and Epstein appears near Capitol: Details

Near the Capitol, unknown individuals installed a statue of US President Donald Trump holding hands with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sexual offenses, The Washington Post reports.
A plaque at the base of the statue reads, "We celebrate the long-lasting bond between President Donald J. Trump and his 'closest friend,' Jeffrey Epstein."
An anonymous group calling itself the Secret Handshake has claimed responsibility for installing the statue.
Who is Jeffrey Epstein
Jeffrey Epstein began his career teaching mathematics and physics at the Dalton School, a private school in Manhattan. In 1976, he founded his own firm, J Epstein & Co. However, the financier became notorious not for the size of his wealth, but for running a brothel for high-ranking officials from around the world.
Trump’s friendship with Epstein began in the 1980s, when they lived near each other in Florida. They often appeared together in public, and Trump, like many other celebrities, flew on Epstein’s private plane multiple times.
Earlier, during Trump’s state visit to the UK, protesters projected images of him alongside Epstein onto the walls of Windsor Castle.
According to US House Speaker Mike Johnson, former US President Donald Trump was an informant for the FBI in the case of the scandalous billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
