Trump reportedly helped FBI in Epstein probe after initial allegations

Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson confirmed on CNN that Trump was an FBI informant in the case of scandalous billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, reports The Telegraph.
Johnson emphasized that Trump became an FBI informant after the first rumors of Epstein's crimes surfaced.
"He's not saying that what Epstein did is a hoax. It’s a terrible, unspeakable evil. He believes that himself. When he first heard the rumour, he kicked him out of Mar-a-Lago. He was an FBI informant trying to take this stuff down," the representative explained.
The Epstein case
The Epstein case refers to billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, a socialite and friend of celebrities, including Bill Clinton and Donald Trump. The case began in 2005.
That year, the parents of a 14-year-old girl reported to Florida police that Epstein had committed lewd acts with their daughter at his Palm Beach home.
He was accused of paying for sexual services from minors at his Manhattan and Florida mansions between 2002 and 2005.
During the investigation, police collected testimonies from about 50 girls. Federal charges could have led to life imprisonment. However, due to a secret plea deal, Epstein received only 18 months in prison.
It is worth noting that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019.
Trump's involvement in the case
Earlier this year, US courts released documents that included the names of individuals connected to Epstein's case.
According to CNN, the documents contain testimony from Johanna Sjoberg, who worked as Epstein's massage therapist. She said he forced her to provide erotic massages.
Sjoberg recalled that while she was on one of Epstein's planes, he suggested they contact Donald Trump.
"Jeffrey said, 'Great, we'll call up Trump and we’ll go to – I don't recall the name of the casino, but – we'll go to the casino,'" Sjoberg recounted.
However, she later clarified in her testimony that she never gave Trump a massage. The released documents do not accuse Trump of any wrongdoing related to Epstein.
Trump clashes with Musk
This year, billionaire Elon Musk made a public statement regarding Trump's connection to the Epstein case.
US President Donald Trump clashed with his former friend and advisor, Elon Musk, after Musk criticized a tax and spending bill, calling it a "disgusting mess."
The next day, both began exchanging sharp statements publicly on social media. The conflict has continued to escalate, with Musk claiming that the US President is involved in matters related to Jeffrey Epstein.
