State Emergency Service updates on drone attack in Mykolaiv

A drone attack in Mykolaiv on the evening of April 5 caused a house and gas network fire. Three women were injured in the attack, according to the State Emergency Service.
The emergency services clarified the aftermath of the Russian drone attack on Mykolaiv’s private residential sector and shared footage.
"As a result, significant damage to private homes was recorded. At one location, a house caught fire, but fortunately, there were no people inside. Firefighters extinguished the blaze covering 30 square meters," the State Emergency Service reported.
They added that at another location, a gas network near a private residence caught fire, but the flames were extinguished.
"Currently, three women are reported injured. One was hospitalized, and the other two received first aid on-site," SES stated.
In addition, cars and other homes were damaged, the emergency services noted.
A total of 15 firefighters and 3 special vehicles from the State Emergency Service were involved in addressing the aftermath of the attack.
"Additionally, a group from the Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Protection Unit of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv Oblast worked on-site. Law enforcement officers, patrol police, emergency medical teams, the Ukrainian Red Cross rapid response unit, as well as emergency crews of electricians and gas workers were also involved," the State Emergency Service statement reads.
The Shahed attack in Mykolaiv caused fires in two residential buildings, with damages in the private sector. The Regional Military Administration and the city council reported that three women were injured.
Additionally, that night, Russians launched kamikaze drones for another aerial attack on Ukraine, and air alarms were declared in several regions. Reports of explosions and air defense activity were received in multiple areas due to the UAV attack.
