Starlink station set on fire in Poland, Russian intelligence suspected

A fire at a Starlink satellite station in Poland is being investigated as an act of sabotage and a terrorist crime committed in the interests of Russian intelligence services, Przemysław Nowak, a spokesperson for the National Prosecutor's Office of Poland, said, according to PAP.
The incident occurred on the evening of September 23 in Wola Krobowska (Grójec County, Masovian Voivodeship). The fire at the Starlink ground satellite communication station caused significant property damage.
According to the prosecutor's spokesperson, available evidence, including surveillance camera footage, clearly indicates that it was arson.
"There is a reasonable suspicion that the perpetrators acted on orders from Russian intelligence services. Their goal was to disrupt the Starlink internet connection in Poland and other Central and Eastern European countries," Nowak noted.
The investigation was launched on Friday, September 25. At the scene, prosecutors, along with officers from the Internal Security Agency (ABW) and the Central Bureau of Investigation of the Police, inspected the area and interviewed witnesses.
The case was handed over to the Radom branches of the ABW and the Central Bureau of Investigation. The investigation is ongoing, and no one has been charged yet.
Deputy Minister of Interior and Administration Czesław Mroczek also confirmed the arson, adding that law enforcement is establishing all the circumstances of the sabotage.
Russian intelligence services have significantly stepped up hybrid attacks in Europe recently.
The Kremlin's main goal remains the destabilization and damage of critical, transport and logistics infrastructure that provides aid to Ukraine.
In addition, Western media and security experts warn that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is preparing a new wave of sabotage and assassination attempts in NATO countries.
Analysts note a sharp escalation of Russia's shadow war against European states, targeting railways, bridges, communication systems, and border facilities.
