Overnight on October 14, restrictions on Starlink (Starshield) operations at high speeds were detected in Ukraine. The situation is complicating logistics and the operation of unmanned systems, particularly Middle Strike drones, according to a source at the Ministry of Defense.
What is known about the restrictions
According to an RBC-Ukraine source at the Ministry of Defense, restrictions on Starlink operations under the Starshield military package were recorded overnight at speeds exceeding 160 km/h. At the same time, the information about the speed is still being verified.
According to the source, the situation significantly complicates logistics, the operation of unmanned systems, and the use of Middle Strike drones.
The cause of the restrictions is currently being investigated.

Earlier, presidential adviser Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov reported that overnight on October 14, the connection under the Starshield military package began to drop out at speeds exceeding 160 km/h. According to him, this disrupted a number of missions, and the Defense Forces had not been warned about the restriction.
The 7th Air Assault Corps said that in the Huliaipole direction, the connection during UAV flights could already drop out for 10–20 seconds at speeds of 110–120 km/h. Connection problems forced one unmanned systems unit to cancel some missions. The problem is most acute when launching high-speed drones such as Middle Strike, which need to reach high speeds at launch.
