Spanish Second Deputy Prime Minister Yolanda Díaz will abandon X, owned by billionaire Elon Musk, because of the latter's behavior during the inauguration of US President Donald Trump, Díaz said in an interview with TVE.

She made the decision because of Musk's behavior during Trump's inauguration, and therefore she does not plan to “continue to promote hatred.”

“I have made this decision, which I know is difficult, but I will not be part of a social network based on the use of algorithms that encourage xenophobic ideas, that are against human rights, and that encourage the extreme right in the world,” she said.

She also added that other ministers from her left-wing radical Sumar party had made a similar decision to stop using X.

Trump's inauguration

Yesterday, January 20, Trump was inaugurated in Washington, D.C., and officially assumed office in the White House. Musk was also present during the event, and he was criticized for making a gesture similar to the Nazi “Sieg Heil” during his speech. Responding to critics, the billionaire said that he was tired of the “everyone is Hitler” attacks.
