SpaceX launches Falcon 9 rocket with satellites for German military
SpaceX initiated the launch of a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base with two reconnaissance satellites destined for the German military, according to KSBY.
The mission named Sarah-2 was delayed by a day to accommodate additional pre-flight checks.
This marked the eighth deployment of the first-stage booster dedicated to supporting this mission. Previously, the booster had been utilized for the launch of SDA-0A and six Starlink missions.

As SpaceX notes on X, the Falcon fleet’s life-leading rocket completed its 19th and final launch and landing on December 23.
"This one reusable rocket booster alone launched to orbit 2 astronauts and more than 860 satellites — totaling 260+ metric tons — in ~3.5 years," the company says.
