Smoke cloud envelops Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk region - Air quality deterioration recorded
Kryvyi Rih was covered by a cloud of black smoke on the morning of June 23. It is known that an accident occurred at one of the local plants, reports local website Informator.
Residents of Dovhyntsi district and Socmistshechko in Kryvyi Rih noticed the smoke. According to local residents, the smoke cloud spread from the ArcelorMittal plant.

The press service confirmed to the media that this morning an emergency situation occurred - a sudden shutdown of several production facilities from the external power grid.
"Manufacturers were forced to resort to a series of crisis measures to preserve production equipment, including coke chemical production equipment, and ensure the safety of workers. Unfortunately, there were visible effects in the city. Currently, the power supply has been restored. The situation is under control," the statement said.
Meanwhile, in Kryvyi Rih, residents report deteriorating air quality. They are advised not to open windows. According to residents, there was a sharp unpleasant odor in the air.
Recently in Berlin, there was a threat of releasing hazardous substances into the air due to a fire at a metallurgical plant.
Also, on June 12, in the Kyiv region, a massive fire broke out at a facility following an enemy attack. The fire could not be extinguished for several days.
