Third day of firefighting efforts at enterprise in Kyiv region after Russian attack
For the third day in a row, rescuers are battling a fire that broke out at an enterprise in the Kyiv region on June 12. Drone debris fell during the Russian attack on the facility, according to Viktoriia Ruban, spokesperson for the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) in the Kyiv region, in an intrview with RBC-Ukraine.
"As of the morning of June 14, the firefighting efforts are still ongoing," she said.
According to her, the fire has been contained, and there is no spread of flames.
"Rescuers are working on cooling the area," the spokesperson added.
Fire at enterprise in Kyiv region
Last evening, on June 13, the SES of Ukraine reported that the fire suppression efforts were continuing. A total of 249 rescuers, 98 units of equipment, and four firefighting trains are involved in the operation.
On the night of June 12, Russian forces launched another large-scale attack on Ukraine, using both missiles and drones.
Explosions were heard in Odesa and Kyiv. In particular, a fire broke out at an industrial facility in the Kyiv region, injuring one person.
