Sky, sea, and more. Coalition of the Willing outlines four objectives for forces in Ukraine

The Coalition of the Willing has developed a plan to support Ukraine. It outlines four objectives, including ensuring a secure sky, states UK Defense Minister John Healey, according to The Guardian.
During the opening of the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, Healey thanked over 200 military planners from 30 countries who are working on the possibility of "putting Ukraine in the strongest possible position to protect its sovereignty and to deter any further Russian aggression."
The minister added that the coalition's plans are well-developed and that clear objectives have been set:
-
Ensure a secure sky;
-
Ensure secure seas;
-
Ensure peace on land;
-
Support the Ukrainian armed forces to "to become their own strongest possible deterrent."
"Our reassurance force for Ukraine would be a committed and credible security arrangement to ensure that any negotiated peace does bring what President Trump has pledged, a lasting peace for Ukraine," the minister clarified.
Healey assured that the coalition "cannot jeopardise the peace by forgetting about the war," as Ukraine needs additional support.
"We’re stepping up. We’re serious. We’re sending a signal to President Putin and to (Ukraine’s defence - ed.) minister Umerov and the Ukrainian people. We stand with you in the fight, and we will stand with you in the peace," he added.
Umerov on the Coalition of the Willing
Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, for his part, noted that the Coalition of the Willing is a new format for long-term support for Ukraine and security in Europe. The coalition includes countries that are ready to work towards sustainable and long-term peace.
It is also a step towards modernizing the security architecture in Europe — an adequate response to the threat posed by Russia.
Coalition of the Willing
Today, a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing is taking place in Brussels. The countries involved are discussing the possibility of sending their contingents to Ukraine.
It is currently unknown when exactly foreign soldiers might be deployed to Ukraine and in what format.
Just on April 5, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared that he had received the first details about the possible deployment of foreign contingents in Ukraine.
